Sublime Stores was founded in June 2014, after Ray & Anthony took the natural next steps in their journey with Subway.
Ray joined Subway in 2006 as a Sandwich Artist while in college. He progressed to Shift Manager right through to Store Manager, later becoming part of the regional training team for Subway’s regional development office, responsible for opening flagship stores like Liverpool John Lennon Airport!
Anthony has always worked in the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry, having spent the earlier days of his career at McDonalds, he took the leap to join Team Subway in 2008 as a Store Manager. Anthony also opened flagship stores, such as Merseyside’s first Drive-Thru Subway at Switch Island Retail Park. Following success in the role, he went on to become an Operations Manager for another franchisee overseeing the day-to-day operations of 10 stores across Liverpool.
Both Ray and Anthony knew they wanted to take their chance at becoming franchisees themselves, and finally made that decision in 2014 by taking over the ownership of the Bold Street store in Liverpool City Centre. Over the last eleven years, they’ve grown the company to a height of 20 stores, with a team of over 100 employees. The pair have partnered with The Kay Group, a petrol station operator, and now own and operate 4 Subway stores within their forecourts.
